Trüby Trio’s fine contribution to their DJ-Kicks compilation, the track "High Jazz” featuring the vocals of Jopseh Malik, finally gets the some remixes. This first 12inch is mixed by Nicola Conte and by the Trio boys themselves.
Watch out for CPT 117 that features another remix of "High Jazz” by Freeform Five.
Nicola Conte from Bari, Italians mastermind and nowadays the grand senior of the whole Italian bossa and jazz move, turns the original into a cool uplifting jazz house tune with superb solo ingredients. Nicola added some groovy instrumental licks that counterpart along with the vocals.
This one swings and swings, maybe crying for a chilled cocktail, but keeps the 60ties jazz feel alive. Perfect for metropolitan lounges, smoky jazz rooms or sunny beach bars. Trüby Trios own treatment on "High Jazz” sets the tune in a completely new environment. Darker string sounds and a bass with a distinctive Detroit feel over the full vocals are responsible for the gloomy action here.
